It is with the greatest pleasure that I write to introduce myself and express my gratitude at having the opportunity to provide orthodontic services for you and your family. I am Dr. Sara Schwager and I look forward to addressing all your orthodontic needs. I am passionate about helping patients achieve and maintain a beautiful smile. When people ask me why I enjoy being an orthodontist, I explain that I love to build personal relationships with my patients and treat the person, not just the mouth.
After finishing college at the University of Virginia, I attended Virginia Commonwealth University to obtain my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduation from dental school, I was selected for the residency program at the University of Michigan, where I earned my Master’s degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. My master’s thesis focused on craniofacial abnormalities and inherited bone disorders, and I have published numerous articles on the subject since the completion of my research.
In 2018, having lived and worked in Ann Arbor, Michigan for three years, my husband Matt and I relocated to Colorado and quickly realized this was where we wanted to establish long-term roots. I have been practicing orthodontics in the Denver area since that time. Outside of work, I enjoy trail running, hiking, and reading. Matt and I also enjoy hiking and camping with our Corgi, Leo, and our German Shepherd Dog, Hank.
I look forward to providing excellent care for you and your family. I hope that you will give me the opportunity to meet with you and discuss your orthodontic concerns. We are all committed to providing you and your family with exceptional care in a professional and friendly manner.
